TEMENOS AT NIGHT

The 'Temenos' sculpture at Middlesbrough Dock.

Designed by Anish Kapoor, the installation is approximately 110 m long and 50 m high and cost £2.7 million. The steel structure consists of a pole, a circular ring and an oval ring, all held together by steel wire.

Intended to be one of five huge sculptures erected in various towns throughout the economic Tees Valley area as part of the world's biggest public art project, it remains the only item to be actually completed.
