AQUATIC TUBE
Sunderland's Aquatic Centre, with its striking design and curves, houses a 50-metre swimming pool wrapped in a long, flattened, aluminium-clad tube, tucked in against the north side of the adjacent football stadium.
The roof structures resemble a series of large cowl vents from an old ocean liner and integrate well with the metal sheet covering.
