LAST SUNRISE of '25
Roseberry Topping, North Yorkshire, UK.
On the final day of 2025, the sun rose in the south east, beneath a large swathe of cloud covering most of the sky. However, a narrow window just above the summit of the Cleveland Hills allowed a piercing shaft of low sunlight to rake across the landscape, lighting up Roseberry Topping in a vivid orange spotlight.
This warm blast of light only lasted a minute or so before the sun rose higher and behind the cloud bank.
